Children's Halloween Party
On Sunday, October 29th over thirty children came in costume and participated in a wide variety of games and activities. There was a decorate your own pumpkin table, a pin the nose on the jack-o-lantern game, a penny pitch and a ring toss. Adults and children all sat down to be amazed by the sorceress’ magic show at 2:00 pm. At 3:00 pm the sorceress led a parade of costumes and prizes were given for the prettiest, the scariest, the funniest and the most original costumes. Then the activities continued with games such as make your own popcorn witches hand, decorate your own sugar cookie, eat the doughnut, an egg toss and bobbing for apples. There was a table of “feel the body parts” where everyone reached into marked boxes and then said “YUCK”. There was also a prize given to the child who guessed the number of candy corns in the jar. By late afternoon there were a lot of happy but tired ghosts, ghouls and goblins leaving Whitey’s Marina.
